– Grounded Coffee Beans.
New ground coffeebeans. The scent. Time today for grinding coffee beans. I always buy whole beans and grind them myself to get them right for the moca brewer used on the stove.

The grinder is antique, more than 50 years old. A Braun, German quality, in essence. We got it when I was a child living in Antibes, France. And it is one of the things we kept while moving around to various places. I got it some years back from my mother. And, amazingly, it still grinds as perfectly as it always has. My newer one is not close to being as good as the old one. A thing that every day puts me back to the feeling of nice years in France.
I got the brewer on a business trip to Milan. I had wanted one for a long time, and passing by a Bialetti store when walking back to my hotel; I had to get one. So I got myself one for a double espresso and a couple of nice cups. Not the one in the picture, though.

The yellow cup matches the one in the teal color I got some years back in Porto, Portugal. The teal cup reminds me of the beautiful café where I had a double expresso in the same type of cup, and smartly they sold the brand, Loveramics various cups. Besides falling in love with the cup, I love the brand name. Having my espresso every day in my Porto cup gives me the same enjoyable feeling I had in Portugal, which must have been at least some five years ago.
Buying usable things while traveling reminds me of the good times, and I often bring back something from my trips to surround me at home and/or to wear. They remind me daily of many fun and happy memories and keep me joyful and smiling.
These are some of the small things in everyday life that I focus on and find a good thing today and every day. And I have not yet even come to the selection of coffee. I’ll leave that to talk about for another blog post. ?
So, what is a good thing today in your life?
